Joe Palm began his career in 1983 and has served in many diverse Information Technology (IT) roles through 1998, including Software Developer, Business Analyst, Database Administrator, Quality Manager, Solution Architect, and Technical Lead.
In 1998 he co-founded a successful tech startup company in the Energy vertical, serving as VP of Business Development. He then pivoted his career to Program/Project Management, was a PMP-certified practitioner from 2008-2021. He taught PMP Certification classes through his local PMI chapter and worked directly with the C-Suite at several Fortune 100 companies leading large scale, international programs and projects (including many successful rescues) using traditional, agile, and hybrid frameworks.

Most recently he served as ScrumMaster, Release Train Engineer, Enterprise Agile Coach, and Optum Tech University Course Designer and Trainer for UnitedHealth Group (UHG). In 2021, he was asked by UHG’s Senior Director of Culture to author the enterprise Servant Leadership training content and several supporting exercises, as well as the Servant Leadership Guide for the team of 75,000 Cultural Ambassadors.
While there, he was also asked to serve on the Board of Directors for the Enterprise Innovation Advocates community, which was an invitation-only group of 5,300 business and IT leaders across 16 countries with demonstrated expertise and passion in Innovation.
Joe has also been a Course Designer, Trainer, and Workshop Facilitator for many Fortune 100 companies over 30 years. He understands how people most effectively learn and how to make the experience both fun and highly valuable for people typically hard-pressed for time.
Joe is a Lifelong Learner and continues to mentor, train, and coach business leaders across multiple companies and has been a passionate practitioner of Servant Leadership since entering the work force in 1982. He lives in Asheville, North Carolina and enjoys traveling, writing, investing in others, and climbing the Blue Ridge mountains on his bicycle. He has four grown children and five grandchildren.

Michael Moss, Ph.D.

Michael Moss has more than 30 years of experience practicing Employee Listening and People Analytics, linking and analyzing disparate employee data sources to uncover workforce intelligence. He received a doctoral degree in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from George Mason University and has built or evolved People Analytics Functions in both start-ups and Fortune 100 companies across technology, finance and healthcare businesses. A critical focus throughout his career has been understanding the Employee Experience (EX), its antecedents (e.g., job, management, leadership, work environment), and its consequences (e.g., turnover, productivity, customer satisfaction) – leveraging data to demonstrate to corporate Executives that treating employees like your most valuable asset really does make a difference.
